R&D
At Standfast, we are continually researching to refine existing products and develop new ones. Our process for R&D enquiries is as follows:
- Identify the problem (risk assessment)
- Determine what information is needed to make a decision about the problem
- Design a method to collect the data to formulate a solution
- Capture the data and review other information, such as government statistics, legislation and standards compliance
- analyze and interpret results to determine compliance
- Develop a solutions-based action plan and quotation
- Submit quotation and plan for approval
We often receive requests from contractors, manufacturers and individuals seeking a solution to an identified safety hazard. Once the request has been verified and is viable, Standfast engineers develop a prototype and determine whether a test schedule is warranted. The recommendation is then forwarded to the client, who, if a concept test is approved, remains in the process up to the point of manufacture.
